The vulnerable Peter Cushing ...Thank you, George.

The vulnerable Peter Cushing role that springs to mind is when he played Grimsdyke in TALES FROM THE CRYPT, 1972.Mark Hodgsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08744056312268440003noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16605980.post-62179735644046190602009-11-25T22:59:10.268+00:002009-11-25T22:59:10.268+00:00I enjoy "The Man They Could Not Hang" as...I enjoy "The Man They Could Not Hang" as a solid entry in...what to call it...the "B" tier of Karloff's terrific catalog. Along with films like "The Haunted Strangler," etc. Not lavishly budgeted, not directed necessarily by an artist of the James Whale calibre, etc., but entertaining all the same. The Cushing comparison is interesting -- though I wonder if perhaps Boris showed more emotional range throughout his career. I'm trying to think of a Cushing pic where he's clearly "vulnerable" more than "calculated"...they're both masters. Nice tribute!Georgehttp://www.moviefanfare.com/staff-notes/boris-karloff-blog-a-thon/noreply@blogger.com
