I think I first wanted to see it after seeing a glossy colour photospread...possibly in "World of Horror" magazine?

I seem to recall revisiting it on laserdisc, though would I really have shelled out for an LD of this? Probably. It's one of those films you keep wanting to discover is a missed classic, but alas the general consensus that it really just isn't very good is probably correct and I doubt it will ever attain such status...indeed, despite Danny Peary including it in his "Cult Movies" I'm not sure it even has a cult following. I would probably recommend seeing A BOY AND HIS DOG instead.Milesnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16605980.post-62545164449573405032010-06-07T18:10:18.294+01:002010-06-07T18:10:18.294+01:00The gun is good, the penis is evil. The gun is good, the penis is evil.Institute for advanced how-to-ologyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03450284850890707699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16605980.post-57628793670941785972010-06-04T19:27:42.987+01:002010-06-04T19:27:42.987+01:00I enjoyed this movie, but found it goofy, like eve...I enjoyed this movie, but found it goofy, like everybody else does.

But I enjoyed the daring of the themes, basically, its saying that religion is a bunch of lies, that the powers that be use it to control the masses, the poor. That they use the poor for war, and that the poor live as savages while the rich and powerful live in luxury. This film was made in 74, yet the world is pretty much the same apparently. Not much has changed.Franco Macabrohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10994905312221715861noreply@blogger.com
