The Sensurround was fab. I was so delighted by it that I went again the next day. And eventually I emigrated to the US and these past 23 years have lived in the heart of Hollywood where the bulk of the movie takes place - and yes we have frequent earth tremors, although the Capitol Records building is still standing, thank heavens. <br />I saw Ken Russell's Tommy at the Leicester Square Theatre, across the square from the Empire, and can verify that the first showings were in "Quintophonic" sound, one of the FIVE giant speakers being placed behind the screen itself. The sound was jaw-dropping. I was told by a friend who worked at the cinema that cracks started appearing in the walls and a decision was made to cut back to *four* speakers.iainhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01678079780927685172noreply@blogger.com
