I can't remember the title.

What I remember is that it was a black and white movie, and I think it was British, and was set in an old house in the country. I'm pretty sure there was a murderer loose among the group there, and they were being knocked off one at a time. I'm not sure why it was on the local "Creature Feature" because now that I think back on it, it was not a 'monster' movie so much as a scary, might-be-a-monster movie where the killer is someone pretending to be a supernatural or monster-ish type.

Anyway, the one scene that did me in was where a young woman was killed in her bathtub. If everyone else was terrified to take a shower after seeing "Psycho", I was terrified of taking a bath after seeing this flick. Granted, it probably isn't as scary as I remember, but I was allowed to see stuff that was too old for me, and I loved seeing scary films.

The guy/thing comes up from behind the woman and strangles her, and she thrashes around in the tub, and then leaves her. That scene made the most impression. I remember some scenes shot outside among trees, and various other creepy inside the house shots, but I'm clueless about the title.

Any idea? Ever heard of it? I've been searching for a while now, and cannot find reference.

All the best,

G G. It has haunted me for years since I saw it when very young. I remember it as absolutely terrifying, I too had nightmares, why is it never shown again on TV? I'll definitely try to get it and hope it lives up to expectations.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17625415494507784665noreply@blogger.com
